Course summary

This course focuses on animal management, conservation and covers a more in-depth knowledge of animal breeding, genetics, biology and behaviour. You will develop hands on practical work throughout the programme and develop your knowledge of the ethical, welfare, husbandry and nutritional needs of a range of different animals. This course will allow you do develop on the foundations you have already learnt and develop your knowledge and experience further.

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs grades 9- 4 OR equivalent.

How you'll be assessed

You will be assessed through both practical and theoretical assignments throughout both years of the course as well as final year exams. Your assessments throughout this course, will keep you on track to achieve; these could include observations in your work placement, assignment tasks and a portfolio of evidence to support your learning. On top of the exams each year.
