5 grade 4s or above at GCSE, at least grade 4 in GCSE English and/or Mathematics. Candidates must have achieved a GCSE PE grade 5 or Merit level at BTEC First. Due to the nature of the assessment, a grade 5 in English is essential. You must also have a very positive attitude to independent working, a passion for sport and a good attendance record.
The Course will last 2 years with grades being accredited in the summer of the second year. Year 1 will focus on the 2 external examination units and students will complete these exams in the summer of year 1 allowing for potential resit opportunities in year 2. Year 2 students will complete the internal assessment units which are predominantly coursework based.
