Units you will study will include: Information Technology Systems; Creating systems to manage information; Social media and business; Programming; IT project management; Cyber security and incident management; IT service delivery. Other units may include: Data modelling; Website development; Mobile Apps development; Software testing; Customising and Integrating applications and Business process modelling tools.
Minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade C (4) or above, including English and Maths; or a pass at Level 2 Diploma in IT including English and Maths at Level 2; or equivalent. You will also need to attend an informal interview with the course tutor.
Assessment is both internal and external. For internally assessed units, these will take the form of tutor set assignments throughout the year. For externally assessed units, these will be awarding body set exams.
