If you are interested in working as an electrician and look forward to the challenge of work but want to keep learning in a practical way, then this course is for you. A Level 3 Apprenticeship is a way for you to acquire the skills required to become a fully qualified electrician. Some of the things you will learn relating to electrotechnical systems and equipment in buildings, structures and the environment will include the knowledge and practical application of the following: • Health and Safety legislation • Environmental legislation, working practices and the principles of environmental technology systems • Overseeing and organising the work environment • Planning and selection of electro technical equipment • Preparation and installation of wiring • Termination and connection of conductors, cables and cords • Inspection, testing, commissioning and certification • Diagnosing and correcting electrical faults
