There is no set syllabus for this examination. The paper will consist of two questions, each on a separate passage, which will test skills of comprehension, inference, and analysis.
Both internal and external pupils wishing to enter the sixth form will be expected to have met the same minimum academic entry requirements for the sixth form. These are a minimum of 5 Grade 5/Bs, or equivalent, in GCSEs/BTECs/Diplomas in 5 separate subjects (not including Citizenship).
