This course will challenge your creative thinking and develop your design skills. You will investigate and discuss renowned works of Graphic Design and learn how to produce effective pieces of communication.
Minimum high grade 6 in GCSE in Product Design or Art and Design.
This two-year course consists of two components. Component 1 is a personal investigation which counts for 60% of the marks and begins at the start of the course. In year one girls are given a series of project briefs that allow them to expand their skill set and explore different areas of the subject. In the second year girls decide independently on their own design briefs and produce four final, outcomes. Component 2 is an externally set assignment for which girls respond individually to one of eight starting points which are announced in February of the second year.
