In business, diplomacy and tourism, Germany stands second only to English in Western Europe and in Eastern Europe holds first place. • German is the second most commonly used scientific language. Germany is the third largest contributor to research and development and offers research fellowships to scientists from abroad. • Germany offers a generous number of scholarships and other support to study in Germany; it is fourth most popular choice for Further Education, after the US, UK and Australia. Germany has recently abolished tuition fees for al university students including international students. • Working holiday visas are available for young foreigners. • A wide range of exchange programmes exists for both school and university students between Germany and other countries.
Our normal minimum requirements for entry into the Sixth Form are at least five GCSEs at Grade 6 and above, with Grade 7 in those subjects wished to be studied at A Level. An interview with a member of the Senior Leadership Team would normally form part of the selection process.
