

This BTEC qualification is a practical course that involves independent research, analysing and interpreting data and working to deadlines. This qualification is designed for learners who are interested in an introduction to the study of creating IT systems to manage and share information alongside other fields of study. It allows progression to a wide range of higher education courses, not necessarily just in IT. Over two years you will study: Information Technology Systems Creating systems to manage information (Access Databases) Data Modelling (Excel) Using social media in business What can it lead to: Choosing IT combines very well with lots of other A level or BTEC courses offered at All Hallows. Studying IT will develop your problem solving and project management skills. The course will help you in the future when you take on any form of employment because you will become experienced users of Microsoft applications. This course provides an excellent foundation for any degree course available at university but especially those related to IT or Business. This course can be combined with other A levels and/or BTECs.
