There are three sections within this diverse and engaging course: A – Applied Anatomy and Physiology & Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics B – Skill Acquisition & Sport Psychology C – Sport and Society & Technology in Sport What it can lead to A qualification in Sport can open many doors, with employers recognising increasingly the importance of health and well-being. Those of you wishing to stay within the sports industry, a course in A-Level PE can lead to coaching roles, teaching, physiotherapy biomechanics, sports science, personal training, or a whole host of leadership roles.
Grade 66 in Science Grade 6 in either English Grade 6 in Mathematics Grade 6 in PE, if studied. Must take part in at least one competitive sport outside of school
Two external examinations You will also complete a written analysis of your own sporting performance and also be assessed on your practical ability in one sport.
