
Aimed at students who want to make a career in Business, this course develops an understanding of finance, marketing, human resources, management and communication. It is equivalent to two A Levels. An A Level subject must also be selected. What will you learn? The course is divided into 13 units over two academic years that consists of 7 mandatory units plus 6 optional units. Mandatory units include: 1. Exploring Business 2. Developing a Marketing Campaign 3. Personal and Business Finance 4. Managing an Event 5. International Business 6. Principles of Management 7. Business Decision Making This BTEC National is a Level 3 qualification designed to provide a highly specialised work-related qualification and to give students the knowledge, understanding, and skills that you need to prepare for employment.
How will you be assessed? This will be a mixture of internal assessment and external marked units. The vocational nature of the course means that you will be required to investigate and apply your knowledge to real businesses situations and gain appropriate work experience at the end of year 12.
