Since its modest beginnings in the 19th century, the art of photography has come an incredibly long way. Now, we have access to some of the highest quality images through our own handheld devices. It’s hard to imagine a world without photography, particularly when we embed the still image in almost every part of our lives, capturing important moments and creating artistic ways of framing our lives. In this course, students will be able to explore film-based or digital photography.
Five or more GCSE grades 9-5 including a minimum grade 5 in Maths and a minimum grade 6 in English and a Humanities or Social Science related subject.
60% Component 1 - assessed and externally moderated by an exam board 40% Component 2 - assessed and externally moderated by an exam board
