
During the 2-year programme, students will develop the core knowledge and skills that are needed for entry to a range of health occupations. This course is suitable for anyone wanting a career in health and healthcare. Core Component (Health & Science): working within the health and science sector; health, safety and environmental regulations managing information and data principles of good scientific and clinical practice core science concepts including the structure of cells, tissues and large molecules, genetics, microbiology and immunology understanding the healthcare sector providing person-centred care supporting health and wellbeing further knowledge of both human anatomy and physiology and of diseases and disorders infection prevention and control
A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 9 – 4 including a grade 4 in English language and Maths. Students must also have a clear DBS.
You will achieve the qualification by completing a range of assignments for each unit. All units will be externally assessed using a range of methods, including direct observation within the workplace, examinations and written assignments. You must also complete a minimum of 750 hours in placement, supported by our dedicated placement officer and assessors.
