Course summary

The course is designed to further develop practical and theoretical skills that students have learnt during GCSE. It gives an excellent grounding for students both students who wish to take an academic route to University or a more vocational one. Students will have the opportunity to study and practically explore key practitioners, theme, style and inspiring set texts There will be lots of opportunities for watching high quality live theatre in order to further develop their knowledge and understanding. This is required for the final written examination where they must reflect upon a performance they have seen. There is an expectation that students following this course will become involved with our extra curricular Drama productions and that they will stay to after school rehearsals for their group work.
