
COURSE DESCRIPTION The Cambridge Technical Awards in Sport and Physical Activity are the perfect preparation for a career in sports. Extended Certificate students (equivalent to one A Level) will study five units across two years, two of which are examined and one which is a practical unit. Extended Diploma students (equivalent to three A Levels) will study 17 units over two years, four examined, one a practical. With units of study including the Business of Sport, Body Systems and Sport Psychology, Improving Fitness, Biomechanics, Nutrition and the Organisation of Sport among others, this truly is an interdisciplinary course which will engender a firm understanding of the world of sport and its associated employment options. The majority of our students go on to secure university placements on Sports Science and related degree courses. The sports courses at S6C are highly respected, with exemplary pass rates. Taught by highly experienced Sport Science staff, students experience a professional and fun environment where everyone is encouraged to succeed. All S6C students are part of our MLP Sport Academies, currently with dedicated academies for Football, Rugby and Netball.
