
Music A Level offers students the opportunity to further develop the skills and understanding they have gained from GCSE study and instrumental tuition. The 2 year course explores music from different eras, styles and functions, and students have the opportunity to perform and compose their own music. Students will develop not only their creativity and technical skills but also their analytical and critical thinking which is as much a part of musicianship.
60% coursework (including performance elements) and 40% written examination.
