The Level 3 Cambridge Technical in Health and Social Care is an exciting vocational course that is suitable for students wishing to enter a range of professions caring for, and working with people. The OCR Cambridge Technical Diploma in Health and Social Care is aimed at students who • Want to follow higher education and careers in medical professions for example, nursing, paramedic sci- ence, midwifery and social work. • Want to progress to employment in related fields where caring for and working with people is central. This includes other careers in the area of medicine as well as working with children, the elderly, people with disa- bilities, those suffering mental illnesses or in the area of youth work. Typically, students of Health and Social Care will be encouraged to seek a work placement alongside their academic studies, such as placements in a special educational needs setting, residential home, hospital or other care establishments.
