A Level English Literature

Course summary

This course will suit you if you enjoy reading and engaging in critical debate about texts (both verbally and in extended writing). If you dislike reading, this course is not for you! English Literature lessons vary in structure and we place an emphasis on collaboration as well as independent study skills. Activities include class debates, group discussion and independent reading and writing. We study academic writing skills as well as the set texts. Through English Literature you’ll also develop excellent training in communication, which is valued by employers.
