Course summary

You will be interested in how laws are created and interpreted and also the process by which a court determines the guilt or liability of a defendant in a legal case. Law requires excellent memory and literacy skills, as legal cases often hinge upon the exact meaning of words or phrases. You should also have an acute sense of accuracy and attention to detail, in law, a lot can often depend on very little! You will study the English legal system, law making, criminal liability, defences, tort law, contract law, and the nature of law.
