Course summary
Your lessons will involve the practical exploration of plays, devising and creating your own performance work, performing plays and monologues, and the analysis and evaluation of theatre. The course is designed to provide a balance across a range of highly engaging learning activities. There are also routes through the specification for students whose interest is in theatre production (ie. lighting or sound) rather than acting. Students completing the course will have a thorough understanding of drama and theatre, highly toned analytical and creative skills and an ability to communicate effectively with others. Visits to see live theatre and workshop opportunities with some of the most vibrant theatre makers around today will also be afforded to students taking this course.
