
Graphic Communication is a practical course that allows you to be as creative as you want to be whilst preparing you for a future in the creative industries. The course will encourage interest and enjoyment in art and design with visual communication being the overall objective. Students are encouraged to develop personal responses to ideas, observations, experiences, whilst working from their own strengths and interests in either 2D or 3D realisation. Students will combine drawing and illustration skills and develop their ideas using Adobe creative programmes such as Photoshop and Illustrator to produce their final outcomes that are commercially viable.
40% external assessment. Unit One: 60% - Practical and written personal investigation. Unit Two: 40% - Externally set assignment. Eight weeks preparatory work followed by a 15 hour practical exam.
