Level 3 Core Maths

Course summary

Level 3 Core Maths is a qualification designed for students who have achieved a grade 5 or above at GCSE. It helps to develop students’ mathematical skills and thinking, and supports courses such as A Level Psychology, Sociology, Economics, Biology, Chemistry, Physic and Geography. Studying Level 3 Core Maths will better prepare students for the mathematical demands of work, study and life. Most students who study mathematics after GCSE improve their career choices and increase their earning potential. UCAS points are also awarded equivalent to an AS qualification. The course has been developed with employers, universities and professional bodies as valuable preparation for higher education and employment.
