
LAMDA examinations will develop the student’s ability to develop their: Interpretative skills by exploring style, form, character, subtext and context in order to realise the specific demands of the text and engage with character and situation in order to create a sense of reality. Technical skills by developing skills in voice diction and movement. Knowledge of the performance process. We will be offering examination preparation in both Acting and Musical Theatre qualifications. LAMDA examinations in Musical Theatre help students to develop their acting and singing skills. Like our Acting exams, they encourage empathy and self-awareness, as learners are required to present believable characters through both acting and song. Students will receive one to one tuition within the sessions, developing their vocal techniques and acting skills in a wide range of styles. These sessions will also help prepare students for professional and conservatoire auditions. The qualifications are highly recognised and will provide students with the skills and techniques required to progress into a career within the performing arts. Students would look to undertake Grade 7 (Silver Medal) in Year 12, followed by Grade 8 (Gold Medal) in Year 13.
