Course summary
The Cambridge National in Sport Studies enables students to develop and apply knowledge of sports-related activities, with a particular focus on officiating. They explore contemporary issues in sport, different ways of being involved in the sports industry, and the impact of sport on wider society. Students will follow a vocationally specific qualification, which will develop a range of personal skills, and knowledge that will be essential for successful performance in working life. Students will study a range of topic areas, which will require them to participate practically as well as research and produce written responses to work related assignment briefs. Equivalent in size to one A Level, students will study five units of which two are examination and the remaining three are both internally and externally assessed.
