This is a practical course, which will give you the skills for the world of work and help you to add value to business activities in any organisation. You will complete projects and assignments based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. The Extended Certificate is for learners who are interested in learning about the business sector alongside other fields of study, with a view to progressing to a wide range of higher education courses, not necessarily in business-related subjects. You will study three mandatory core topics including; Exploring Business, Developing a Marketing Campaign and Personal and Business Finance. Two of these units are externally assessed with one based on a pre-released synopsis. One unit will be internally assessed. You will also have the opportunity to study one optional unit covering a range of topics, which will be internally assessed.
Achieve basic entry requirements - see page 11 and a minimum grade 4 at GCSE Mathematics.
