Further Mathematics is to be taken as a fourth subject. Any student taking Further Mathematics must also be taking A Level Mathematics. Students will sit the actual AS exam at the end of year 12. Paper 1: Core Pure Mathematics 1 Paper 2: Core Pure Mathematics 2 Paper 3: Further Statistics 1 Paper 4: Further Mechanics 1 Each paper is a 1 hour and 30 minutes written examination with 25% of the qualification worth 75 marks. Paper 1 and Paper 2 may contain questions on any topics from the Core Pure Mathematics content.
