Course summary

There is a good balance between the various aspects of Biology, with these areas further built upon within the second year. Students learn about human physiology, genetics, the application of genetics in medicine and biodiversity. The content in is depth so students can access the most demanding University courses. The mathematical content of the course is Level 2 in challenge and builds up as the course progresses. In Year 13 there is depth of study for those who are interested in the human genetics of human physiology.

An APS of 6+ - AND a grade 6+ in GCSE Biology or GCSE Combined Science (6-6) - AND a grade 6+ in GCSE Maths
