Course summary

To develop further understanding of the human and physical geography around the world. Looking at how both human and physical geography influence our everyday lives and influence economies, landscapes, global trade, human development, international development and global powers. You will learn the fundamental skills to be a geographer and gain hands on fieldwork experience through your studies.

Grade 6 at GCSE Geography Where subject not studied: Grade 6+ in GCSE English AND Grade 6+ in GCSE Maths

Paper 1 Written examination: 2 hours 15 mins 30% of the qualification Paper 2 Written examination: 2 hours 15 mins 30% of the qualification Paper 3 Written examination: 1 hour and 45 minutes 20% of the qualification Assessment overview An externally-assessed written examination, with use of a resource booklet. Paper 4 Coursework: Independent Investigation Non-examined assessment 20% of the qualification.
