Course summary

This course is an excellent steppingstone into your future career in IT. During this course you will study a variety of skills to enhance your knowledge and skills and prepare you for studies at a higher level and skills needed in the workplace. You will learn how to set up and maintain computer systems and be able to carry out day-to-day tasks for safely installing hardware. You will also complete practical projects that cover the creative side of IT, including editing and creating digital graphics using Photoshop and Illustrator and developing your own website that includes a portfolio of your best work. You will develop skills important to any workplace by designing and creating systems using Excel and Access. You will also develop your wider knowledge of the industry and emerging technologies when studying The Online World and Technology Systems.
