This course provides a broad insight into the healthcare profession and considers the skills and qualities required to work in a range of healthcare settings. These include hospitals, doctors’ surgeries, and pharmacies. One of the great strengths of the Diploma is the integration of theory and practice as students have the opportunity to apply what they have learned at College to their healthcare work placements. This exciting and innovative course in health provides you with a broad insight and invaluable experience in a variety of different healthcare settings. These varied experiences enable you to develop professional skills, knowledge, skills, and qualities to a high standard. An integral part of the course is attending a rotation of placements at Warrington and Halton Hospital Trust that offer the opportunity to develop skills further and relate theory to practice. ADDITIONAL BEAUTY QUALIFICATIONS – Beauty and Skincare Enrichment Programme (2 extra hours per week over the two years) Students studying on the Health Professionals Level 3 Extended Diploma course at Riverside College and have an interest in the growing aesthetics and beauty industry can combine their qualification with a unique enrichment programme allowing them to gain two additional qualifications in beauty during their course to complement their health and social care qualification.
