
The A Level programme is made up of 2 units of coursework over the first year to introduce students to the basic principles of photography. This is followed by a further 2 units in the second year where students will have the opportunity to explore more specialist areas of the subject. It is an exciting and popular course designed to develop personal, creative and critical responses as well as the formal elements of photography, art and design. The course explores traditional and non traditional approaches of camera, light sources, darkroom, digital and ICT media. Students will explore the work and techniques of a variety of photographers, in order to develop personal and creative respons es, taking advantage of the galleries and museums based in London. The course is differentiated to accommodate students with and without a GCSE in Photography. Students are able to use equipment from the other VA & DT disciplines such as photography, 3D de sign, graphics and textiles
