

This creative and problem-solving course gives students practical skills, theoretical knowledge and confidence to succeed in a number of career areas, particularly suiting those intending to study or work in graphic design, product design or digital communications. The course comprises of three sections; design, manufacture and theory. This course is suitable for any students studying GCSE Engineering, Graphic Communication, Art and Design, Photography or Business Studies. You have the choice of designing and making a variety of outcomes using plastic, metal, wood or card. You will learn how to process and fabricate these materials in the workshop and our digital CAD suites. For your personal project you are free to make anything as long as it demonstrates the use of the materials stated above, or, computer aided design. Previous projects have included architectural models, packaging, furniture and fabricated products such as chairs. NEA and Exam Papers: The course compromises of both an NEA and exam paper element.
