
BTEC Business gives you an opportunity to understand why we all work, what business is all about, and learn knowledge and skills that you can apply throughout many aspects of your life. This is a 2 year course and is worth the equivalent of one A Level. There are 4 business units of which 3 are mandatory and 1 optional. These 4 units are assessed in a variety of ways, e.g. through one controlled assessment, one examination and two pieces of coursework based on presentations, practical assessments, and observation. Overall, two units are assessed internally and two units are assessed externally.
Grade 4 or above in 5 X subjects at GCSE, including GCSE English Language and GCSE Mathematics
