
This course will be focused on how theoretical aspects of the body, mind, sporting environment and society can impact overall sporting performance and goals. You will learn how the body is able to produce sporting actions and understand how this can be optimised using psychological, physiological and biomechanical techniques. You will also be required to study the sociological barriers that limit individual participation and how these are being challenged.
5 x GCSEs at Grade 5 or above, plus a Grade 5 in GCSE ENGLISH and GCSE MATHS, plus a Grade 6 in GCSE PE or a BTEC in SPORT. Students should participate or coach in a sport outside of school at club level or above.
