Course summary
Social issues and trends: Aspects of political life in the countries which speak these languages, including European Union Politics and recent history of target language speaking countries. Grammar: Students will be expected to have studied the grammatical system and structures of the language during their course. Works: Students must study either one text and one film or two texts from a set list. Individual research project: Students must identify a subject or a key question which is of interest to them and which relates to a country or countries where the language is spoken. The course consists of a number of complementary units in which the four language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are developed simultaneously. The course will help you to develop your general study skills, but most of all you will learn to communicate at a higher level in your chosen Modern Foreign Languages.
