Remembered Places – Paris, An anthology of non-fiction texts Imagined Worlds - Margaret Atwood’s ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’, Poetic voices - Carol Ann Duffy, An anthology of poetry from ‘Mean Time’, Writing About Society - Khaled Hosseini’s ‘The Kite Runner’ Dramatic Encounters - Shakespeare’s Othello. This course will act as a development and extension to the variety of textual experiences explored such as reading non-fiction texts, novels, poetry and plays, in GCSE English. You will become a more critical reader and writer, being able to craft your work to suit different purposes and audiences and produce an analytical commentary of your work. Additionally your knowledge of linguistic terminology will develop.
