Course Content The topics covered in the course include the analysis of many social issues, including; • Racism, and prejudice. • Poverty and inequality. • Crime, deviance, and criminality. • Media bias. • Globalisation. • The role of religion. • Culture and identity. • Methods of social research. • Sociological theories such as feminism, Marxism and post-modernism. Opportunities and Experiences in Sociology • Debates with political figures. • Visits to local universities and law enforcement agencies.
