It is about using and applying mathematics. With 80% of the content taken from GCSE Mathematics, the emphasis is on helping students to use the knowledge they already have to explore, understand and solve problems. The course is designed to maintain and develop real life mathematical skills. What you study is not purely theoretical or abstract; it can be applied on a day-to-day basis in work, study or life.
Grade 5 in Maths, Grade 5 in English Language Can only be taken as a 4th subject
Students will be required to sit two examinations. This course will suit students who want to maintain and develop their valuable mathematical skills, but do not wish to take A Level Mathematics.
