Course summary
This course is designed to build on the skills and knowledge acquired from GCSE studies to prepare students for their future careers. It enables students to see the relationship between linguistic and literary methods while developing a wide range of skills, including, but not limited to: • critical reading • analysis • evaluation • independent research You will study 6 units as part of your course that cover such topics as: • Remembered Places (Paper 1) • Imagined Worlds (Paper 1) • Poetic Voices (Paper 1) • Writing about Society (Paper 2) • Dramatic Encounters (Paper 2) • Making Connections (NEA) This qualification benefits careers in many different fields as the skills and knowledge developed through the course will prove an asset in many professions.
