Subject Content: Personal Investigation: The course we deliver aims to give students a wide range of experiences both by hand and digitally which will relate to the design idustry. They will select a project brief which will allow them to develop their skills in their chosen area. Students will produce a project which will consist of contextual research, exploration of techniques, design ideas and outcomes.
Grade 4 or above in an Art or design technology specification or portfolio of work seen to be an equivalent to this.
Work is internally assessed and externally moderated by a visiting moderator. Controlled Assessments/NEA: 60% Personal investigation – starting points set by the centre. 40% Externally set task – starting points set by the exam board.
