A Level Sociology

Course summary

Sociology is a very successful and popular subject at Northampton Academy. This is what the OFSTED inspectors said: ‘Teaching is good in the Sixth Form. The subject is managed well through planning. Response in lessons is good. Pupils are interested in the subject and co-operate well with each other’. Sociology is the study of human social behaviour. The subject investigates patterns of learned behaviour and how these are shaped and influenced by our parents, friends, schools, work and other institutions.
