Dunraven School

Course summary
A Level Psychology is an introductory course designed to provide a solid foundation to understanding the range of explanations of human behaviour and the research techniques that measure this. In the first year of study you will develop your critical thinking, research and analytical skills as you study topics like Social Influence, Memory, Clinical Psychology and Mental Health and much more. In the second year of study you begin applying wider concepts to a number of real life situations, as you start learning topics such as Relationships, Schizophrenia and Aggression. An inquisitive mind is needed for this course, with the ability to question “why and why not?” both inside and outside of the classroom, which will hopefully prepare learners for a variety of university courses and employment opportunities such as education, counselling, healthcare and management.
