Course summary

The new Alternative Academic Qualification in Health and Social Care is equivalent to one full A Level and fully recognized by Universities. This qualification provides the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge of a successful practitioner. The courses teaches empathy, development through the life stages and the importance of meeting an individual's needs. The qualification is graded as Pass, Merit, Distinction or Distinction Star. This qualification can lead to various HE degrees such as Social Work, Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedic Science. It will also enable those not wanting to progress into HE to move onto professional careers in the police, probation services, military and care work.
