Course summary

A Level French covers a wide range of topics that will broaden your knowledge of French-speaking societies, including current affairs, media, social issues, and business. You will also study one book and one film in depth. Throughout the course, you will revise and consolidate grammar from GCSE and develop advanced communication skills. Lessons are conducted predominantly in French to enhance fluency. Key areas of study include: • Current affairs and societal issues in French-speaking countries • French literature and film French grammar and vocabulary Students will also have the opportunity to practise speaking with a French language assistant.
