Course summary

A Level Spanish builds on the knowledge and skills developed at GCSE, allowing you to refine your grammar and vocabulary while exploring topics related to Spanish-speaking societies. You will cover areas such as social issues, youth culture, and global affairs, as well as study one book and one film in detail. The course is taught predominantly in Spanish to encourage fluency. Key areas of study include: • Spanish and Latin American culture and society Spanish literature and film • Advanced Spanish grammar and vocabulary Students will also benefit from working with a Spanish language assistant to practice conversational skills.
