Course summary

Economics is a Social Science which can fit well with students taking Mathematics and Science subjects as well as those studying Humanities. Typical questions we attempt to answer include: Why are house prices so high? How do interest rate changes affect the economy? Are monopolies good for society? Why did the Credit Crunch happen? and Why do some countries grow much faster than others? This course is a challenging yet rewarding endeavour designed to enhance your knowledge and develop your critical thinking skills. The course concentrates on the key skills of Research, Data Analysis, Reasoning and Judgement and Evaluation. This course covers in detail both the macro and micro side of Economics as a subject and is a well-regarded subject by universities and employers.
