Geography if a highly-valued subject as an A level choice. The course covers a range of human and physical topics and the complex interactions between both. You learn to evaluate, compare, contrast and analyse case studies at a local, national and global scale. You learn how to present this information both in examinations and in coursework - skills that can be transferred to the world of work, as we as at higher education. Whilst we do work hard in lessons, geography is also fun! Students will spend time on day and residential trips studying geography in real-life situations, offering the opportunity to see for yourself how important is is as a subject in shaping our lives. Attending fieldwork is a compulsory element of the course. To show our commitment to this, we heavily subsidise trips, with families asked to make a small contribution.
