Want to make a real difference and boost your own skills at the same time? As a Year 12 Reading Buddy, you’ll help Year 7s grow into confident readers through fun, weekly sessions. You’ll get full training, all the support you need, and even the breaktime you give up is built back into your timetable. It’s a great choice if you’re interested in careers like teaching or child psychology – and it looks fantastic on university and job applications. Plus, you’ll develop key skills employers love: leadership, teamwork, organisation, and communication. You’ll also get the chance to mentor older students in Years 8 and 9, making this a brilliant opportunity to build experience and make a lasting impact.
