A Level Religious Studies
Course summary
Ethics, Philosophy & Religion at A-level is very different from what you may have studied already. You will study three separate units: Philosophy, Ethics and Christian Theology. We consider complex issues and investigate the nature of religious experience and whether these can be explained by science, psychology or supernatural means. Why study Ethics, Philosophy and Religion? This course allows you to get your teeth into a whole range of controversial topics: we don’t just study them, we intellectually attack them! Here are just a few of the quandaries you will need to debate: Is religion dead? Is God male or female? Can God suffer? If you plan to be a Lawyer, Psychologist, Journalist, Teacher, Nurse, Police… anything to do with people and current affairs, then this could be the course for you.
