
Drama and Theatre A Level engages students through creativity, focusing on practical work which reflects 21st Century theatre practice and develops skills that will support progression to further study Drama and/or a wide range of other subjects. All components are explored through practical activities prior to the development of extended academic writing. The performance texts chosen will reflect our student body, and allow them to access the work, their interests and their performance skills. Finally, it will develop a multitude of transferable skills, including creativity, communication, amending and refining work, among others to support their development into any work field they wish to pursue.
Grade 5 in Drama If not studied at GCSE; Grade 5 in English Language and Grade 5 in any Arts subject
NEA coursework, consisting of a performance and portfolio, additional group and individual performance and a written exam (2 hours 30 mins) consisting of extended essay responses.
