Course summary

The A-Level Economics course explores the principles of economic theory and practice, examining how individuals, firms, governments, and countries make decisions about resource allocation. Students will study the impact of economic decisions on the wider world and gain an understanding of both microeconomics and macroeconomics. Entry requirements

Grade 6 in Economics (if taken) or Grade 6 in Mathematics and Grade 5 in English Language if not studied previously.

How you'll be assessed

Three external exams, consisting of multiple-choice, short-answer, and essay questions. The primary focus is on analytical and evaluative knowledge skills. Numerical skills account for 10% of the marks. No Coursework (NEA))
